The magic parlour tickets

The first performances of The Magic Parlour began in the basement of the Chopin Theatre in Wicker Park produced by The House Theatre. It was a late night experience, and the show was built for the beloved, but admittedly quirky, space.

But...it worked! Audiences were willing to go on an adventure with me each night and eventually we learned it was time for something different.

In 2011, The Magic Parlour moved to its new home at the historic Palmer House hotel in the heart of the Loop.

The show continued to grow, this time in an elevated environment, but still sans theatrical lighting, sound, or a formal stage. We were still fitting the show to the room, but learning every single day what audiences were looking for in an up-close, parlour magic experience.

In October of 2023, in collaboration with Goodman Theatre and Petterino's, my little magic show finally had the chance to build a room made for it, instead of the other way around.
